We’re now on the lookout for a Production Support Business Analyst to support our Retail Wealth, EMEA team that is working on delivering business solutions and high-quality support to GBST clients. In your role as Production Support Business Analyst, you’ll analyse and determine information needs, develop detailed requirements and functional designs, and help resolve client-raised tickets in line with service agreements.

You’ll be joining a global, diverse team in an Australian-based company and collaborate with business analysts, technical analysts, project managers, and subject matter experts to deliver effective solutions and support to our clients.

Desired Skills and Experience

What U will do:

  • Investigate, classify, and prioritise issues from the GBST issue management system, ensuring tasks are completed in line with client SLAs.
  • Write and review detailed requirements and functional designs based on client needs and legislative issues.
  • Conduct impact analysis and ensure requirements are approved by clients.
  • Provide on-site consultancy to production clients, including support during User Acceptance Testing phases.
  • Manage the critical incident process, ensuring stakeholders are informed and incidents are resolved efficiently.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external clients and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver 24/7 support via on-call rotation for after-hours issues.

U will be someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in IT or as a business analyst within financial services.
  • Detailed knowledge of pension and wrap systems in the UK market.
  • Knowledge of current legislation in the UK market, including pensions and ISAs.
  • Experience in gathering business requirements, gap analysis, business process re-engineering, and writing detailed requirements and functional designs.
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong logical and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail, ability to prioritise, and meet deadlines.
  • Awareness of risk management and client service levels.
  • Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile development environments.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of SQL, XML, and Composer data model.
  • Workflow, compliance, testing, and training experience.
  • Participation in legislative work groups (e.g., HMRC, FCA)
