We’re now looking for a Programme Manager to lead the delivery of complex client and internal change across our EMEA region. This role sits within our Delivery function and focuses on major client-led programmes, product upgrades, and strategic internal initiatives. As a Programme Manager at GBST, you’ll take ownership of multiple workstreams, provide direction to project managers, and act as a trusted partner to senior client and internal stakeholders—ensuring delivery aligns with GBST’s objectives, strategy, and quality standards. You’ll be joining a global, diverse team in an Australian-based organisation, collaborating closely with product, technology, finance, and client teams to deliver meaningful outcomes for our clients.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in London.

Desired Skills and Experience

What U will do:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale client programmes and internal strategic initiatives across EMEA
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all programme delivery matters
  • Manage multiple workstreams, providing leadership and direction to project managers and cross-functional teams
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior client and internal stakeholders
  • Own programme governance including scope, budget, timelines, risks, issues, and quality outcomes
  • Negotiate Statements of Work and change requests, ensuring clear, achievable deliverables and balanced commercial outcomes
  • Develop and maintain integrated programme and implementation plans
  • Ensure accurate, timely reporting to clients and GBST senior leadership
  • Monitor programme financials, forecasts, and resourcing requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery methodologies, processes, and tools
  • Champion team engagement, performance, and collaboration across geographically dispersed teams

U will be someone with:

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale IT programmes, ideally within financial services and/or a software vendor environment
  • Strong knowledge of programme management disciplines including scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder management
  • Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, release management, and hosting/infrastructure services
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing and forecasting programme budgets
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively
