Job Description
Are you a gun Cloud Engineer looking to make your mark on developing, maintaining, monitoring and continuously improving our production infrastructure environments? You will have an opportunity to work with SME’s across the business on key projects whilst working with clients on our cloud infrastructure.
You will have great learning opportunities and work with a broad range of technologies to enhance your knowledge in this space. You will be able to take the reins of this role and put your stamp on the work you provide. You will be driven, can work in a fast-paced environment and able to work with our great team!
As part of the role, you will need to be available on a 24-7 on-call roster to support GBST’s global network.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you'll be doing:
Performing end to end administration of AWS infrastructure;
Running and scaling CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, TeamCity or Artifactory;
Implement and uplift monitoring solutions to identify potential issues;
Develop and implementation infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions whilst promoting consistent and reproducible infrastructure deployments;
Improve monitoring and alerting tools via Prometheus, Grafana and address platform performance issues.
Integrate security best practices into deployed environments.
Do you have what it takes? You’ll need:
Tertiary qualification or related Knowledge and work experience.
Operational experience: Understanding of SLAs and incident management, ITIL, Change control.
Experience in Linux and Windows operating system.
Working knowledge of technologies like Kubernetes/Docker.
Have worked with Infrastructure automation (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines (GIT, Jenkins, Bitbucket).
Demonstrated experience with Amazon web Services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC’s.
Demonstrated drive for continual learning and skills uplift
Skills in at least one of these is an advantage: Shell scripting, Powershell, Python.
